Lil Guys Group meets every Wednesday after school at the Youth Center. Recently we went Ice skating, decorated the Youth Center, movie days, decorated candy jars, went to Dancing Brush and made hot cocoa cups. Our little guys always have lots of fun. If you have boys or girls ages 5-12 that might be interested in coming down to check it out please feel free to contact Magdalena Turrieta at 360-394-8634 or Denita Santos at 360-394-8618.

Chief Seattle Days Royalty 2009-2010 Update

First of all, we have new crowns! Made by Jessi Old Coyote, of course. They’re beautiful and we wear them proudly.

In School, we just finished up with the first quarter of the school year and are almost done with the semester. We are holding up our priority of maintaining excellent grades. Both Shaylene and Nika are great students and we are all very proud of them! As for myself, Calina, I got an academic certificate and prize for a great overall GPA for the quarter.

In the past few months we have represented at:

- Chief Seattle Club’s Veterans Honoring
- Suquamish Veterans Pow Wow 2009
- A Cultural Exchange with students from Mt. Lake Terrace HS
- Coastal Jam Session in Muckleshoot
- Chief Leschi Pow Wow

We’re still attending Song and Dance every Monday. When you are able, try and make it down for dinner and a little jammin!

I also recently got a job working for PME. And I got my driver's license, so the girls and I will be making it to more events.

We also got royalty pictures done for both Chief Seattle Days and Renewal Royalty. You will most likely see them hanging on the walls soon. I will also include them in the next royalty report.

Your Chief Seattle Days Royalty 2009-2010 hopes that you all had a very Merry Christmas and have an Amazing New Year! We are very proud to be representing Suquamish and The Chief Seattle Days Pow Wow.

Again, if there are any questions or comments or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to call and give us your input.

Denita Santos- Royalty Coordinator - 360.713.7921

Thank You!
~Miss Chief Seattle Days 2009-2010 Calina Lawrence~
